“Chicago Cut Steakhouse, located on the Chicago River, may only be three years old but its ultramodern take on the traditional steakhouse has won over locals and steak connoisseurs.”

Chilled Gazpacho, Line-Caught Alaskan Halibut, and Peach Burrata salad are just a few of the great new dishes we’re serving up here at Chicago Cut along with our classics like the Bone-In Ribeye and USDA Prime Porterhouse. Come on in!
We were honored to have so many of the Black Hawks come through during their Stanley Cup run and offer a sincere ‘thanks’ to those of you who came through Chicago Cut before, during and after games. “The Cut” has become their ‘home away from home’ near the UC. Patrick Kane, Bryan Bickell, Andrew Shaw, Corey Crawford… the list goes on and on. Can’t wait to see you again this Autumn, boys!
It’s hot and we’ve got the perfect solution- a hand crafted cocktail like The Berrymore. Take fresh strawberries, exclusive vodka and a few other simple ingredients and you’ll be refreshed and ready for our dining menu.
If you know the best of Chicago, you know Teddy Brunson. Teddy came down to visit us for his first killer webisode of Brunson’s Best. If you’re not salivating for a burger after watching this then you might need medical help!
That’s the magic number for Black Hawk fans as the team tries to hoist the cup tonight at the UC. Come watch the game in our bar and enjoy some amazing USDA prime steak while you’re here!
Niklas Hjalmarsson would agree!
That’s the magic number for the Black Hawks. It’s also roughly half the number of team members who were gracious enough to come by this past Thursday, along with ESPN legend Barry Melrose and Jeremy Roenick!
Patrick Kane came by to celebrate after his Hat Trick of goals that propelled the Black Hawks into the Stanley Cup Finals. Four is the Hawks new magic number– four games to go!

The holy grail of prime rib lives here. No prime rib I’ve ever tasted could match the flavor, texture and beauty of the enormous, plate-size slab of bone-in perfection that I had at Chicago Cut. It’s very expensive ($59), but the steakhouse uses USDA prime beef, hits it with just the right touch of salt and serves it with a little horseradish on the side.
No sides or salad are included, but there is a very good bread basket that arrives unbidden. Kick in another $7 for a vegetable if you like. Beautiful surroundings, terrific service and a deep wine list that’s more than worthy of this fabulous beef are all bonuses. A relative pup among these veterans — the restaurant opened in 2010 — Chicago Cut is a big dog where it counts.
Was our guest this past Saturday. Does he look like he could handle our Double Cut? What do you guess?
Chicago Cut Steakhouse is pleased to unveil their new mixology program, created by Katie Sauer, with proprietors David Flom and Matt Moore. Come enjoy the complex, yet refreshing libations, which include house made syrups, fresh fruits and a variety of top shelf liquors.
The new cocktails are modernized versions of old Chicago favorites. Try a Chicago 75 (Gin, St. Germaine liqueur, simple syrup and fresh lemon juice) or a Tequila Mockingbird (Tequila, Lillet Blanc, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup and a Mezcal rinse) or the Berrymore (Tito’s Vodka, simple syrup, prosecco, fresh strawberries) and many more!
